Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Ellie Holzhausen joined the Laboratory in June 2021 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. She has expertise in the human gut microbiome and fecal metabolome, as well as physical activity and sleep and circadian rhythms. Her recent work has focused on the early life gut microbiome, utilizing the fecal metabolome as a functional readout of gut microbiota transcriptional activity. Her future work will examine how early seeding of the infant gut microbiome impacts childhood health outcomes such as obesity.
